Place a wire link between the Common and
the Calling (Load) terminals of the Room Thermostat
Ensure the link is safe and secure then refit the thermostats cover
the Calling (Load) terminals of the Room Thermostat

Observation:
Once the link is in place the room thermostat is bypassed and the
heating should now fire regardless of the room temperature.
Measure the voltage on the Brown wire to the Heating zone valve.
1. Is mains voltage present?
2. If voltage is now present on the brown wire does the valve move to
the open position?
Once test is completed remove the link.
Note: The colour and position of the wires will vary between systems and components.
