Set Appliance State:

Remove the Programmer from its back plate
Fit a link between the mains live and the Heating ON terminals of the timer back plate
Ensure the link you have fitted is safe then refit the Programmer to its back plate

Measurement:
This link will bypass the Programmer and provide a demand for heating regardless
of the Programmers setting, however, the room thermostat will still control the room
temperature so must be calling during this test.
Measure the voltage on the Brown wire to the Heating Water zone valve.
1. Is mains voltage present?
2. If voltage is now present on the brown wire does the valve
move to the open position?
Once test is completed remove the link.
Note: The colour and position of the wires will vary between systems and components.
