Turn Gas Control Knob to Pilot position
Central Heating switch in OFF (central) position
Turn Gas Control Knob to Pilot position
Gas On; Pilot On
Observation:
Ignite pilot as in previous test. Release gas control knob after approximately 20 seconds, does the pilot remain alight?
