Set Appliance State:
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
Remove the rectification electrode and lead from the combustion door assembly
Disconnect the inline connector attaching the rectification electrode and lead to the boilers main harness
Disconnect the inline connector attaching the rectification electrode and lead to the boilers main harness
Measurement:
Measure the resistance of the rectification electrode and lead from its tip to the harness connector.
Expect closed circuit (zero resistance).
Also visually inspect the condition of the insulation and ceramic.
Note:
It may be necessary to remove the build up of oxide from the
electrode where the probe is going to be placed for testing
as it can create a false resistance reading.
Do NOT reconnect the inline connector after this test.
