Set Appliance State:
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
Turn Hot Water Tap On
Selector Switch to Hot Water and Heating
Gain access to PCB (use insulation mat as necessary)

| WARNING! - Mains voltage is expected during test follow TOPs P4 live testing procedure |
Measurement:
Allow the fan to run.
5 seconds after the fan starts to run measure the AC voltage between pin 5 on connector X2 and the earth terminal X500.
200VAC or greater should be present for 5 seconds as power is supplied to the spark generator, there will then be no voltage for 15 seconds and then 200VAC should be present again for another 5 seconds (second ignition cycle).
The ignition / voltage cycle is repeated 5 times as the boiler tries to ignite before lockout occurs - reset the appliance if necessary.
Is the voltage measured as expected?
Note: Timings are approximate.
