The boiler incorporates an intelligent preheat feature that will ensure optimum domestic hot water performance.
This feature "learns" the domestic hot water demand, and pre heats the boiler primary circuit in anticipation of further demand at the same time on the next day.
The feature works on a 24hr basis. If for example there is a demand for hot water at 07:00 on Monday the preheat will operate at 06:50 on Tuesday for 1 hours. Similarly if there is a demand at 21:25 the preheat will operate at 21:15 the next day again for 1 hour.
If on Tuesday at 07:00 there is no hot water demand there will be no preheat on Wednesday at this time.
This feature also operates for one hour after each demand to maintain the temperature of the boiler.
There can be 24 pre heat operations in an 24 hours period. While operating in preheat mode the boiler will fire up briefly 3 or 4 times on the hour to maintain its temperature.
During the pre-heat period the DHW indicator will flash.
The preheat feature will not operate if the DHW temperature control is turned fully anticlockwise. In this position the boiler will operate as a conventional combination boiler providing hot water at 50°C.
Once the temperature control is turned beyond approximately 30 degrees clockwise the intelligent preheat feature is activated.
Between the 30 degree position and maximum the hot water temperature can be varied between 40 and 60°C.
