Set Appliance State:
Set Multimeter to Resistance 
Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Measurement:
Remove red and blue wires (1) from gas valve 1 (pilot solenoid),
noting their positions.
Measure the resistance across the two spade terminals on the solenoid.
The resistance measured should be approximately 2K ohms.
Replace wires after test.

Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
