Set Appliance State:

Mains Power Off
Gas Off
Remove the metal top cover of the diverter valve

Observation:

Move manual operating lever on the diverter valve fully towards the manual position and release the lever.
Does the gearing of the valve move and return to its rest position freely?
Note: Ensure lever does not lock in manual position.
