Set Appliance State:

Mains Power Off
Gas Off
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Remove grey plastic top cover from gas valve main solenoid
Remove one of the black leads from the solenoid

Measurement:

Measure resistance across the solenoid terminals. (Resistance measured should be approximately 5.5 kOhms.)
