Set Appliance State:

Mains Power Off
Gas Off
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Remove yellow wires from CH switch
CH switch ON

Measurement:

Measure resistance across exposed terminals of the switch. Resistance should be short circuit.
CH switch OFF.
Repeat test. Resistance should be open circuit.
Reconnect leads after test.
