Because it is not possible to confirm the appliance is in eco or preheat mode, it must be manually set outside the display.
If the appliance has hot water control fitted, ensure it is set to OFF.
(This may be with an internal programmer as shown or with an external programmer)
Any test which requires the preheat on will advise and offer alternative tests.
If NO hot water controls are fitted:
Gain access to the lower PCB
Remove the link between Lr for HW and L
If the appliance has hot water control fitted, ensure it is set to OFF.

Remove the link between Lr for HW and L
Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
