Ensure radiators are open and water can circulate around the system
Attach temperature clamp to the CH flow pipe approximately 30cm away from the boiler
CH temperature set to MAX
Selector Switch in Heating & Hot Water Position
Attach temperature clamp to the CH flow pipe approximately 30cm away from the boiler

Observation:
Allow the burner to fire and boiler to run for at least 30 seconds.
Using a temperature probe measure the temperature of the internal bypass pipe and compare it with the temperature of the CH flow pipe.
Is the internal bypass pipe cooler than the flow pipe?
Or is the internal bypass pipe the same temperature or greater than the flow pipe, signifying the auto bypass valve has opened.
