Set Appliance State:
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
CH Demand
Attach a U-gauge to the gas valve burner pressure test point
Ensure all radiators are turned ON
Selector switch to CH - MAX position
Ensure all radiators are turned ON
Selector switch to CH - MAX position
| WARNING! - Mains voltage is expected during test follow TOPs P4 live testing procedure |
Observation:
Does CH system start to heat up correctly?
Operation note:
The boiler ignites at minimum pressure, the burner pressure will gradually ramp up to match the required output. Pressure ramp up will only take place if the system requires additional output.
The boiler will modulate its output over a period of about 20 minutes. However if the system requires an output above the minimum then the burner pressure should start to increase after 1 or 2 minutes.
If test passes do not turn off heating as the burner ramp up period is initiated on every heating demand and burner pressure above minimum is required for further tests.
Note:
When U-gauge is removed pressure test point should be tightened & checked for gas soundness.
