Set Appliance State:
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
Set Multimeter to mVolts DC 
Turn Hot Water Tap On
Disconnect flame sense electrode lead at the inline connector
Attach negative probe of multimeter via crocodile clip to a suitable earth point
Attach negative probe of multimeter via crocodile clip to a suitable earth point

Measurement:
Allow fan to run and burner to cross light.
Measure the DC millivoltage at the inline connector
(ensure positive probe of multimeter is in contact with tag inside the connector).
Note:
Voltage will only be present while the burner is alight. Burner will only remain alight for approximately 10 seconds then lockout should occur. This can be reset by switching the mains power supply to the appliance OFF and ON again.
Measure the DC millivoltage at the inline connector
(ensure positive probe of multimeter is in contact with tag inside the connector).

Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
