Set Appliance State:
Mains Power Off
Set Multimeter to AC Volts 
Turn Hot Water Tap On
Gain access to PCB (use Insulation Mat as required)
| WARNING! - Mains voltage is expected during test follow TOPs P4 live testing procedure |
Measurement:
Measure the voltage between the brown and black wires at X1 on the PCB.
At the sparking stage of the ignition sequence (when display shows 4) mains voltage should be present.
Note:
Boiler will attempt ignition 4 times before going to lockout, reset as required until test complete.

Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
