Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4

Set Multimeter to AC Volts

DHW Demand

WARNING! Mains voltage is expected during test, follow TOPs P4 live testing procedure

Mains Power On

Measurement:

Test 1:
Measure the AC voltage between the top terminal of the fan assembly and suitable earth.
Test 2:
Measure the AC voltage between the bottom terminal of the fan assembly and suitable earth.
Expect approximately 240v on one test and approximately 0v on the other.

Notes:
1. It does not matter which way round the results are as long as one test has mains voltage and one has approximately 0v.
2. The voltage measured on the one terminal (if present) should remain.
3. This test is carried out this way to help diagnose a faulty neutral on the PCB (a commonly reported fault)
