Set Appliance State:
Gas Off
Set Multimeter to Resistance 
Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Measurement:
Depress the lighter switch button on the boiler control panel and measure the resistance across the Beige wire (connection 1) and the Grey wire (connection 3) at the lighter switch.
Note 1: Ensure that the lighter switch button is fully depressed.
Note 2: Two types of push button ignition switch are used on boiler.
Type one is positive action (definite click heard as the button is fully depressed) type two is soft action (no click is heard).
Note 3: Lighter switch button is located on the control panel, the control box will need to be opened to provide access to the leads.
Care should be taken when reassembling the control box.
