Set Appliance State:

Set Multimeter to Resistance 
Disconnect fan leads
Measurement:
Test 1.
Measure the resistance across fan terminals.
Expected resistance approximately 22Ω.
Test 2.
Measure the resistance across one terminal of the fan and a suitable earth connection.
Expected resistance greater than 1MΩ (or O.L.)
Measure the resistance across fan terminals.
Expected resistance approximately 22Ω.
Test 2.
Measure the resistance across one terminal of the fan and a suitable earth connection.
Expected resistance greater than 1MΩ (or O.L.)
Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
