Set Appliance State:
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
Set Multimeter to Resistance 
Remove speed control connector from fan assembly
Measurement:
Measure the resistance of each of the 4 wires in the fan speed control harness running from connector X4 on the PCB.
Expect continuity / zero resistance on each wire.
Also visually inspect the condition of the harness.
Notes:
1. The order of the wires on the PCB and the fan connector differ.
2. At the PCB either the small holes next to the connector or the larger silver circles can be used to carry out the test.
3. Number 1 is marked on the PCB.

Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
