Set Appliance State:

Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Disconnect and remove wires from solenoid before testing.

Measurement:

Measure the main Gas Valve Solenoid resistance.
Note:
Replace wires on solenoid after test.
