Set Appliance State:

Set Multimeter to DC Volts 
Remove connector from the diverter valve and make safe
Ensure NO demands
On/Off switch OFF
Ensure NO demands
On/Off switch OFF

Measurement:
Test 1:
While measuring the voltage between pin 2 of connector X4 and a suitable earth turn the On/Off switch to ON and monitor the multimeter display as the appliance runs its start-up sequence.
Expect the display on the multimeter to fluctuate before settling at approx. 0vdc.
Test 2:
On/Off switch OFF. While measuring the voltage between pin 5 of connector X4 and a suitable earth turn the On/Off switch to ON and monitor the multimeter display as the appliance runs its start-up sequence.
Expect the display on the multimeter to fluctuate before settling at approx. 20vdc.
Do the voltages behave as described above?
While measuring the voltage between pin 2 of connector X4 and a suitable earth turn the On/Off switch to ON and monitor the multimeter display as the appliance runs its start-up sequence.
Expect the display on the multimeter to fluctuate before settling at approx. 0vdc.
Test 2:
On/Off switch OFF. While measuring the voltage between pin 5 of connector X4 and a suitable earth turn the On/Off switch to ON and monitor the multimeter display as the appliance runs its start-up sequence.
Expect the display on the multimeter to fluctuate before settling at approx. 20vdc.
Do the voltages behave as described above?
Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
