Set Appliance State:
Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Ensure DHW is calling
Remove the yellow lead from the condense trap and make safe
Ensure DHW is calling

Observation:
User control set to ON position.
Try running the appliance, does sparking now occur?
Note:
Ensure the yellow wire cannot touch any of the boiler components or chassis.

and refit as necessary
