Set Appliance State:

User Control to Off Position
Ensure DHW is calling for heat

Observation:
User control switch to ON position.
Allow fan to run and ignition sequence to commence.
Observe meter test dial. Does the test dial show that gas is passing signifying the gas valve has opened?
Note:
No other appliances should be in use during this test. There will be 5 ignition attempts at approximately 35 second intervals in which the gas valve should open.
