G.C. Number 41 389 01
Case removal
Remove the two screws at the bottom of the front cover (1).
Pull forward from bottom and gently ease downwards to free location studs.
Remove recessed screw at top of switch panel (2) and retain.
Lift top cover approximately 40 mm and withdraw forwards.
Remove plinth, screws, nuts and washers and retain in a safe place.
Notes
Appliances prior to serial number 16001 were equipped with a surface mounted (Clickson type) cold start thermostat (DHW priority thermostat). It was found that this was susceptible to damage during installation, therefore IMI have changed from this design of thermostat to one that utilises a phial and pocket, similar to that used for the main boiler thermostat. This change was introduced from serial number 16001.
More recent appliances have a 14 way terminal block to facilitate the addition of a frost thermostat. Older appliances only have a 12 way terminal block and cannot have a frost thermostat added. This diagnostic model caters for both variants, the numbering of the 12 & 14 way terminal blocks is identical apart from the additional two terminals on recent boilers for the frost thermostat.
