Set Appliance State:
Set Multimeter to Resistance 
Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Ensure Appliance is switched OFF.
Note:
The facility to add a frost thermostat is only provided for on more recent appliances
(a 14 way terminal block will be in place of the existing 12 way version).
If no frost thermostat is fitted select the "Open circuit measured on both tests" option below.

Measurement:
Test 1:
Test for an open circuit across the frost thermostat connections 11 and 9.
Test 2:
Repeat test across connections 11 and 14.
Note:
Ensure that frost thermostat is not below its switching temperature (frosty weather)!
