Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Disconnect one of the leads from the pilot gas valve

Measurement:

Measure resistance across the terminals of the pilot gas valve.
Expect a resistance of approximately 1.5 kOhms.
