Set Appliance State:
Gas Off
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
CH Demand
On-Off switch On
Remove the spark igniter gap and wedge in place below the electrode against the heat exchanger as shown
Remove the earth tag and place inside the cap close to the metal point (but not touching)

Observation:
Standing clear of the boiler.
Allow boiler to commence its ignition sequence.
Does sparking occur for approximately 5 seconds?
Notes:
1. Do not touch spark lead on test.
2. Lockout may occur after 5 attempts to ignite. If lockout occurs or the boiler is already in lockout then the reset will have to be depressed.

Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
