Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance

Measurement:

Remove electrode lead and check for good general condition and measure the resistance.
Resistance should be approximately 1 KOhm.
