Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Remove the electrode lead from the boiler

Measurement:

Inspect electrode lead for signs of damage or shorting.
Test Resistance of lead.
Expect resistance reading of approx. 1kOhm.
