Set Appliance State:
Gas Off
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
Remove the HT lead from the spark electrode and trap it below the ignition electrode and behind the earth lead
| WARNING! - Mains voltage is expected during test follow TOPs P4 live testing procedure |

Note:
If the boiler has previously failed to light and is displaying a fault code then this must be reset using the mode selector switch on the front panel.
Stay well clear of the boiler during the ignition sequence.
Apply a demand for CH and observe the disconnected end of the HT lead during the ignition sequence.
Can a strong consistent spark be seen at the HT lead?
