Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4

Observation:

It has been identified that when following manufacturers instructions on certain fault finding activities on the Gledhill Boilermate or similar appliances, engineers are able to press the SW1 and SW2 buttons to aid in fault finding which are in close proximity to exposed 'live' 240v parts of the PCB. This could result in an electrical contact if engineers are unaware of the risks.
What You Need To Do / Actions Required
When working on these appliances on or near the PCB that has the LED display, be aware of the potentially exposed live edge on the board.

The potentially exposed silver track on the PCB that is 'live' at 240v when the power is switched on

Always wear appropriate PPE.

Before turning on the electrical supply assess the interior area of the appliance.

If there are any other parts that will be exposed and 'live', barrier them off using an insulation mat or mats.

Control the work area and prevent any other party from gaining access to the interior of the appliance.

Where you have to press the SW1 and SW2 diagnosis buttons, gently press them using the end of your voltstick with your hands as far away from the PCB as possible.
