Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Remove leads from flue thermostat
If needed remove flue manifold for better access to thermostat

Measurement:

Measure the resistance across the terminals of the thermostat.
Resistance should be short circuit (zero resistance).
