Set Appliance State:

Set Multimeter to Continuity Set meter to measure Continuity
Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Pull off leads from microswitch SW2
(black connector, middle switch - see (1))

Measurement:

Check continuity of switch SW2 across its terminals as follows:
With hot tap OFF reading should be open circuit.
With hot tap ON reading should be short circuit.
