Set Appliance State:
| WARNING! - Mains voltage is expected during test follow TOPs P4 live testing procedure |
Observation:
When this appliance is fitted with a new PCB the appliance will perform an initial flue thermistor test check to confirm satisfactory operation of the flue thermistor.
This check is carried out by the appliance firing automatically without the pump running, this is to ensure the flue thermistor heats by a certain amount in a certain timeframe, this is turn confirms the flue thermistor which is a safety device is operating correctly and the appliance is safe to use.
It is critical that during this self check period there is NO water flow through the appliance or the test of the flue thermistor will fail generting the A3 fault code, this is because the PCB does not get the expected temperature rise in the right timeframe.
If the appliance is connected to a system with other ciculating pumps fitted (for example low loss headers or underfloor heating) these pumps must be switched off.
Once no water flow through the appliance has been confirmed reset the appliance and see if the test now completes - if the check completes without generating an A3 code then the appliance should resume normal operation and external pumps can be switched back on as required.
Please select from one of the following options:
FAULT CODE A3 HAS NOW CLEARED
FAULT CODE F3 CONTINUES TO OCCUR
