Set Appliance State:

Set Multimeter to Resistance 
Remove the spark electrode lead from the ignition control box
Measurement:
Inspect the condition of the spark electrode, it should be clean, free from any damage or broken ceramic and the lead insulation should be undamaged.
Check the electrode gap from the burner is 4mm +/-0.5mm.
Measure the resistance of the electrode from its tip to the ignition control box connector.
Expected resistance is approximately 1.8 kOhms.
Is the electrode/lead in good condition, aligned correctly and is the resistance measured as expected?
