Set Appliance State:
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
Set Multimeter to Resistance 
Remove the cover from the pump assembly
Remove the wires from the pump assembly
Remove the wires from the pump assembly
Measurement:
Test 1:
Measure the resistance between the live and neutral terminals of the pump assembly.
Expect approximately 160 ohms or greater.
Test 2:
Measure the resistance between the live and earth terminals of the pump assembly.
Expect a resistance of 1 Mohm or greater.
(O.L is acceptable because this is greater than 1 Mohm)
Are the resistances measured as expected?
Note:
The pump and its connections may differ in appearance if the pump has been replaced but the test points remain the same.
Measure the resistance between the live and neutral terminals of the pump assembly.

Measure the resistance between the live and earth terminals of the pump assembly.
Expect a resistance of 1 Mohm or greater.
(O.L is acceptable because this is greater than 1 Mohm)

Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
