Set Appliance State:

Mains Power Off
Set Multimeter to Continuity Set meter to measure Continuity
Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Remove electrode lead from boiler

Measurement:

Check for damage and general condition of electrode lead.
Carry out a continuity test of the electrode lead.
