Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Isolate Water and Gas as appropriate

Location:
The thermal fuse is part of a combined thermistor / fuse, if the thermal fuse part of this component has failed this is an indicator that there are other issues with the appliance. Ensure the appliance is fully inspected and tested and safety checked when it has been fitted to ensure it will not trip again.
Upon completion of the fault diagnostics carry out final electrical safety tests and checks as per TOPs (C6).
