Set Appliance State:
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
Turn Hot Water Tap On
Attach tube to left hand side of U gauge
Attach tube to gas valve outlet pressure test point
Attach tube to gas valve outlet pressure test point
Gas On
| WARNING! Mains voltage is expected during test, follow TOPs P4 live testing procedure |
Observation:
Monitor the pressure during the appliances ignition cycle.
The pressure should read approximately 2 - 2.5mb and then change to approximately 0.5mb as sparking occurs (pressure is stabilising as gas valve opens)
Notes: The pressures change very quickly during this test, it may be advisable to repeat the test several times to confirm the result.
When pressure gauge is removed the pressure test point should be tightened and checked for gas tightness.
