This appliance incorporates 3 PCB's. Due to the location of the PCB's and the fact the main PCB plastic housing has to be removed from a holder at the side of the appliance and then opened to gain access for testing it can be difficult to test safely.
Notes:
1. The ignition lead needs to be removed before the casing can be opened. Please note that once the casing has been opened the ignition lead should be reconnected to avoid the risk of a shock by the spark generator.
2. When testing on the main PCB on this appliance extreme care should be taken that you do not come into contact with live wires, or short components or wiring together, use the electrical insulation mat where necessary.
3. This model uses "dead" testing where possible but live checks are required at certain stages on the 3 PCB's please take extra care when performing these tests.
4. Numbers are imprinted on each connector fitted to the various PCB's to help identify which wire is being tested. The model makes reference to these numbers so please take care to ensure the correct wire is being tested.
5. This model requires the preheat to be turned OFF. Preheat is indicated by a "smiley water droplet" in the display. To turn the preheat On and Off press the smiley water droplet button on the fascia for 5 seconds.
