Set Appliance State:
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
Set Multimeter to Resistance 
Remove the plug from the gas valve solenoid
Measurement:
Test 1:
Measure the resistance across the top and bottom terminals of the gas valve.
Resistance should be approximately 8 kOhms.
Test 2:
Measure the resistance across the bottom terminal of the gas valve and a suitable earth point.
Resistance should be greater than 1 MOhm.
Measure the resistance across the top and bottom terminals of the gas valve.
Resistance should be approximately 8 kOhms.
Test 2:
Measure the resistance across the bottom terminal of the gas valve and a suitable earth point.
Resistance should be greater than 1 MOhm.
Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
