Set Appliance State:

Gas Off
Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Remove complete burner door / fan / gas valve assembly

Measurement:

Check the condition of the burner / flame sense electrode:
  • Burner is not restricted or damaged
  • Flame sense electrode is not warped or damaged and that
       there are no cracks to the ceramic or electrode
  • The gap between the flame sense electrode and the burner is 5-6mm
    Carry out a resistance check between the ends of the electrode.
    Resistance should be short circuit (zero resistance)
