Set Appliance State:
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
Set Multimeter to Resistance 
Remove 1 connector from the left hand switch
(violet/black and brown leads)
(violet/black and brown leads)
Measurement:
Measure the resistance across the on/off switch.
Test 1
With switch in its out position (OFF) - expect open circuit.
Test 2
With switch in its in position (ON) - expect short circuit.
Note:
Older models will have 3 connections on the on/off switch with an additional red wire from the main switch to the flame failure switch, it does not affect this test.
Test 1

Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
