Set Appliance State:

Mains Power Off
Gas Off
Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Remove both wires from the over Heat Thermostat.

Measurement:

Measure resistance across terminals of the overheat thermostat.
Expect a closed circuit.
