Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Disconnect wires from APS noting connections

Measurement:

Check resistance between terminals 1 and 3 (left and rear of APS as viewed from the front of the boiler).
Open circuit expected.
