Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Disconnect leads from the high limit stat

Measurement:

Measure resistance across the DHW limit stat.
Short circuit expected.
