Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Turn Hot Water Tap On
Remove connector M5 from the PCB

Measurement:

Measure the resistance between pins 16 and 17 on connector M5.
Expect continuity / zero resistance.
Is the resistance as expected?
