Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4

Observation:

Test 1:
With the hot tap turned off the spindle should be fully retracted.
Test 2:
Turn hot tap ON.
Does the spindle fully extend?
Note:
Microswitch removed in picture for
clarity but may remain connected for this test.
