Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Gain access to PCB (use Insulation Mat as required)
Remove boiler casing
Disconnect the air intake

Observation:

Inspect the entire length of the flame sense ground lead and the rectification lead for its general condition and ensure the rectification lead is not shorting to earth.
