Set Appliance State:
Gas Off
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
Turn Hot Water Tap On
Attach U Gauge to inlet pressure test point
Gas On
| WARNING! - Mains voltage is expected during test follow TOPs P4 live testing procedure |
Observation:
Observe the pressure gauge as the appliance runs its ignition sequence.
During the sparking stage of the cycle there should a noticeable dip in the inlet pressure indicating the gas valve is opening.
Does the inlet pressure dip indicating the gas valve is opening?
Does the inlet pressure remain above 16.5mb (28mb for LPG) throughout?
Note:
When the test is complete the pressure test point should be tightened and checked for gas soundness.
